Progressive Sports South Lancashire are seeking a highly organised and proactive
Business / HR Administrator
to support the smooth running of our growing company.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with people, and can confidently manage a variety of administrative and HR-related tasks.
You will play a key part in supporting staff, ensuring efficient internal processes, and acting as the first point of contact for parents, schools, and external partners. This is a vital role in helping our organisation deliver high-quality services across all venues.
Key Responsibilities
HR & People Administration
Manage and maintain staff holiday records, ensuring accurate tracking and approvals.
Assist with onboarding processes, including preparing documentation, collecting compliance information, and coordinating inductions.
Support with rotas, staff cover, and communicating changes to relevant team members and schools.
Oversee staff expenses approval, delegating venue-specific expenses to venue leads.
Provide general HR administrative support including maintaining employee records and assisting with HR queries.
Delivery Support
Potential of up to 15 hours a week may be required to support with venue cover. This will be evenings only between 3-6pm (Training can be provided)
Payroll
Support monthly payroll preparation by collecting and verifying required staff data.
Handle pension administration, including staff enrolments, updates, and communication.
Communication
Act as the
first point of contact
for the company, responding to enquiries from parents, schools, and partners.
Manage the central inbox and phone line, ensuring timely and professional responses.
Direct queries to the appropriate internal team members when needed.
Business Administration
Provide general administrative support to the senior leadership team.
Assist with document creation, data entry, reporting, and internal communications.
Help streamline and maintain company systems and processes.
Skills & Experience
Previous experience in business administration or HR support (desirable but not essential).
Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
Confident communicator, both written and verbal.
Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.
Familiarity with HR systems, payroll support, or administrative software (training can be provided).
A positive, proactive attitude with a willingness to support the wider team.

Pay: From 12.51 per hour
