If so, this role might be for you! Gallagher Retail are currently seeking Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team of focussed professionals!
Your role would consist of supporting the Retail division with the organisation of its data, whilst providing expertise to successfully access and interpret Retail data. The role will also consist of effectively managing projects, developments builds and initiatives, whilst ensuring that the integrity of Business Intelligence is maintained.


We are able to offer remote working for this role, with the requirement of some travel to a local office (1x/month).
Responsibilities:

  • To maintain and support Qlikview and other IT tools including Power BI in line with the organisation and user needs.
  • Ensure Business Intelligence requirements are gained to maintain the databases, software and computer systems as relevant
  • Apply business analysis skills to complicated business wants/needs and make recommendations for preferred solutions, with consideration of associated business benefits, risks, cost and timescales
  • Lead and handle the maintenance of the BI systems, using digital literacy to keep data safe, organised and accurately stored
  • Be first point of call providing technical support and problem resolution management to users
  • Build working relationships and continuously engage with key stakeholders of the organisation, whilst developing and supporting teams
  • Develop and maintain regular reports on Retail business metrics and usage to help the organisation use the data appropriately
  • Requirements capturing for Retail data projects, creating change documentation being mindful of IT standards
  • Act as intermediary between the company and BI providers providers where relevant to optimally handle the requirements; work closely with other Business Intelligence managers, and the wider teams to successfully craft processes as well understand any system constraints, in order to help articulate these for key stakeholders
  • To play a role in testing effort at various stages ensuring the database/applications are configured, to enforce requirements and agreed design according to the interface specifications
  • Gather Support requests and analyse/filter these for support/development resolution
  • Be the liaison between the business units, technology teams and support team
  • Comply with the AJG Professional Standards Manual in according to statutory requirements for role with specific attention, but not limited to Managing Client information, Whistle Blowing, Treating Customers Fairly
  • Carry out duties following internal policies and procedures in accordance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, good governance and Gallagher\xe2\x80\x99s shared values, in particular, putting clients at the heart of our business.
Qualifications:
  • Qlikview or Power BI experience essential
  • Good working knowledge of Acturis and / or CDL is desirable
  • Educated to degree standard or equivalent is desirable
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and advanced Excel and VBA
  • Good knowledge of general insurance (London Market / Lloyd\xe2\x80\x99s and Industry) products, services, and good understanding of operational processes and practices relating to insurance intermediary businesses
  • Ability to participate on multi-disciplinary work teams to achieve successful execution of sophisticated implementation projects
  • Superb communication, presentation and attention to detail skills
  • Efficient in time management, handling work load and hitting deadlines
  • Logical problem-solver with positive demeanour
  • Travel maybe required from time to time in line with business requirements
  • Eligible to work in the UK
