We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Business, Operations & Marketing Intern to support the day to day running of the organisation and help drive business growth. This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, organised and eager to gain hands on experience across multiple business functions. The intern will work closely with senior management to support operations, assist in marketing activities and contribute to business development initiatives.
The ideal candidate is someone who wants broad exposure to how a growing service business operates and is comfortable taking ownership of tasks that improve efficiency, client experience and brand presence.
Duties
Business & Admin Support
Assist with day to day administrative tasks (emails, calendars, document management)
Help maintain CRM systems and update client or staff records
Prepare reports, spreadsheets and presentations as needed
Support with research tasks (competitors, market trends, pricing)
Assist in creating or updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Operations Support
Help coordinate shifts, rotas and staff schedules
Assist with onboarding new staff (collect documentation, add to systems, organise training)
Track staff compliance documents (DBS, training certificates, insurance)
Support onboarding of new clients (sending forms, setting up profiles, preparing welcome packs)
Monitor and optimise internal processes to improve efficiency
Assist with quality-assurance checks and feedback tracking
Marketing & Content Support
Assist with planning and creating social media content
Help schedule posts and monitor engagement
Conduct competitor analysis and research marketing opportunities
Support creation of newsletters, guides, and marketing materials
Help maintain website updates or blogs
Assist with events, webinars or partnerships as needed
Business Development Support
Research potential partnership opportunities (clinics, doulas, baby stores, private maternity services)
Help prepare outreach emails and follow-up communications
Maintain a database of leads and partnership contacts
Assist in organising meetings or calls with potential partners
Collect and analyse feedback to help improve services and offerings
Skills
Strong organisational and time-management skills
Ability to multitask and prioritise
Excellent written and verbal communication
Confidence using basic tech tools (Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Canva, CRM tools)
Proactive, self-motivated and willing to learn
Attention to detail
Friendly, professional manner when speaking to clients or staff
Desirable
Interest in maternity, women's health, family services, or luxury service businesses
Experience with social media content creation or basic design (Canva)
Understanding of customer experience and service-based operations
Data-oriented mindset and willingness to analyse reports
Basic marketing knowledge (SEO, email marketing, branding)
