About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Business Partner to join our IT & Digital team. This pivotal role will see you working at the heart of the organisation, collaborating closely with stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality digital and IT solutions that drive business transformation and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic advice, challenge and direction to departmental teams about the effective use and management of IT and digital resources and solutions, ensuring they are delivered on time, within quality constraints, and within budget constraints.
  • Engage departmental management teams, senior managers and the wider IT and Digital Service in the development of IT and digital objectives and the prioritisation of work programmes.
  • Contribute to the successful development and implementation of the council's digital and IT priorities, ensuring alignment with the council's corporate objectives and agreed strategies.
  • Work together across IT and Digital to understand business issues, define broad requirements, promote and develop high quality solutions.
About You
To apply for this post, you must:
  • Be degree educated in a relevant subject, or have equivalent experience
  • Have proven experience in IT business partnering, digital transformation, or a similar role
  • Have experience of working in an environment which requires extensive engagement and consultation
  • Be able to lead and develop cross-functional teams which thrive and deliver
  • Bring a strong understanding of digital technologies and how they can support organisational objectives
  • Have significant experience in managing and understanding financial information in the context of an organisation's financial strategy, efficiency and savings plans
  • Be able to enable strategic decisions and drive delivery against agreed timescales, budgets and outcomes
