Job Function:



The Business Services Coordinator plays a critical role in enhancing Lake's supply chain efficiency, sales operations, and supplier relationships. This position is responsible for liaising with suppliers to negotiate pricing and maintain strong partnerships, ensuring accurate and efficient order processing. Additionally, the role provides comprehensive sales support. The coordinator also supports strategic sales growth by collaborating with the sales team to identify new opportunities. Through these responsibilities, the role contributes to Lake's overall commercial success, streamlining of operations, and improving customer and supplier engagement.

Duties:



Strategic Development QP1, QP4, QP5, QP6



Develop supply chain solutions for strategic projects

Developing and refining supply chain and purchasing processes in conjunction with the QM

Manage Lake's 3rd Party Logistics and Warehousing suppliers including service level agreements, monitoring performance and implement corrective actions

Fulfil the needs of Product Stewardship for all stock items before, during and after processing through the business

Monitor changes in costs (supplier prices, duty, exchange / interest rates) to optimise the costing process

Implement the Sampling Process for the development of sales

Sales Support (QP1)



Monitor and manage the appropriate divisions sales inbox, identifying and actioning emails efficiently.

Generate and manage quotes for the Business Managers, ensuring timely and accurate responses.

Identify and raise opportunities and prospects, costing requests and sample orders for Business Managers, supporting strategic sales growth.

Respond to customer queries when Business Managers are off-site, ensuring continuity of service.

Customer Services (QP2)



Coordinate customer sales orders and process invoices

Customer services liaison and sales team support

Outbound logistics coordination in line with Lake's levels of service and quality

Sales reporting to monitor the achievement of the business sales objectives

Sales forecasting and monitoring of customer buying trends to enable target stock turnover

Invoicing and debtor chasing

Supplier Services (QP3)



Manage stock purchases to achieve target turnover, reduce and monitor aged stock

Coordinate purchase orders from a global supply base

Work from the sales forecast to schedule stock orders to achieve target stock turnover, whilst satisfying external customers

Maintain good working relationships with suppliers and logistics partners to Lake's standard of service and quality

Manage and optimise freight and logistics costs

Liaise with suppliers to request and negotiate pricing where appropriate, maintaining strong supplier relationships.

Process all order for orders, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in order management.

Abilities & Skills



Trustworthy, Industrious and Pro-active The candidate must have prior experience in purchasing or procurement. Demonstrable work experience in customer services, purchasing and supply chain within a distribution environment Ability to manage oneself and colleagues to work to a consistent high performance Able to communicate with and develop effective relationships with internal and external customers Oracle NetSuite or equivalent ERP experience essential Practicing exponent of Microsoft Office software; Computer literate Highest standards and levels of accuracy, numeracy and literacy Graduate level with leadership skills or equivalent experience Trustworthy, Industrious, Resilient, Robust
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to 30,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

Worcestershire B98 9PA: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Worcestershire B98 9PA
