Overview





Buckinghamshire Adult Learning is part of the Education portfolio in Children Services, whose mission is: to provide inclusive learning opportunities that promote well-being and inspire people living or working in Buckinghamshire to achieve their potential.



The service is principally funded by the Department of Education (DfE)) and we are subject to inspection by OFSTED.



We currently have an opportunity within our Adult Learning team for an experienced Business Support Assistant to help our curriculum teams with administration and data recording. Completion of documentation, liaison with teams and as required contact with learners, to ensure the smooth running of our whole Tailored Learning programme



This post is integral in ensuring that full and complete information is collected, recorded and processed accurately and on time to meet the needs of the service and its funding bodies.



This role is 30 hours per week, and the salary advertised will be pro-rata'd. The location will be primarily based at Quarrendon Adult Learning Centre but travel to other centres may be required.

About the role





The main responsibilities and duties of the role require the post holder to:


To assist managers in the Tailored Learning provision with day to day administrative and data tasks, recording data and escalating any issues to a senior member of staff in an appropriate and timely way. Undertake tasks as appropriate to assist with the expansion of the provision using social media and creating promotional material. Enter data accurately and in the correct format; monitoring attendance, updating data bases and websites. Use systems to obtain set reports (i.e. learner attendance, mandatory training), to provide accurate and relevant information managers. Co-operate with and support service colleagues with preparation of documents, reports and other materials to a clear brief and to defined standards and timescales using established formats and software. Make routine arrangements and bookings i.e. updating rooming diaries and liaise with Curriculum Coordinators.

Any-Desk:



As an 'any-desk' worker, you'll need to be connected to our network to access digital folders and resources, but this can either be from home or an office location when required. You will be required to work from the office a couple of times a week, depending on your role and team requirements*.


About you





The successful applicant will need to:


Be able to manage and produce accurate data reports as required. Have experience of working within a team. Possess demonstrable experience of accurately maintaining records and tracking information across various inhouse systems. Possess good IT skills Have the ability to work calmly and accurately under pressure Possess excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Possess the ability to ensure all paperwork is completed accurately to comply with any audit requirements English and Maths qualifications at GCSE 9-4 (a-c) or equivalent Level 2 (or working towards)
