Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Business Support Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office by managing administrative tasks, maintaining records, and providing exceptional support to staff and clients. This position requires strong organisational skills, proficiency in various software applications, and excellent communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:



Manage day-to-day administrative functions including data entry and clerical duties.

Review and process new business requests.

Maintain accurate records and files, both electronically and physically.

Handle incoming calls with professionalism and courtesy, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.

Support team members with various tasks as required, fostering a collaborative work environment.

Manage key information flows in line with internal and external processes.

Communicate with relevant operatives/sub-contractors and other individuals to resolve issues relating to dimension or route disparity and other associated data queries.

Liaise with Network owners to discuss process elements and resolve queries.

Provide reporting to assist with trend identification.

Support team members with various tasks as required, fostering a collaborative work environment.

Adhere to stated policies and procedures relating to Health, Safety and Quality Management.

Carry out any activities related to the role.

Attend training and develop relevant knowledge and skills.

Skills



Proficient in computerised systems and software applications, Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook. The ideal candidate is organised, reliable, adaptable, and personable. They should be able to work independently with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail. The candidate should be responsible, accountable, and eager to gain new experiences. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with customers and stakeholders are essential.

Essential Qualifications



Experience with MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Self-motivated and eager to learn.

Proactive and able to work on own initiative.

Possesses strong interpersonal skills to be able to communicate effectively and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Strong problem-solving and organisational skills.

Ability to prioritise workload effectively with strong time management and organisational skills.

Attention to detail and accuracy in your work.

Adaptable and responsive to change.

Clear written and verbal communication skills.
