The primary role of the Business Support Administrator is to work closely with the Business & Executive Support Officer and CEO to support the business, the management team, and the engineers across all business administration activities and non-engineering tasks.
This includes the following duties:
Human Resources: helping with on-boarding, off-boarding, inductions, payroll-pensions, contracts, staff holiday management.
Accounting: book-keeping, invoicing, purchasing (experience in XERO is an advantage).
Customer and Supplier Relationship Management (CRM/MRP).
Business Data Management: filing and email management.
Facilitating meetings and events: recording minutes, organising and planning events.
Answering and managing in-coming telephone calls and external visitors.
Booking and planning business travel.
Monitoring and procuring office supplies.
Support to marketing (social media and website news postings).
Adopting AI tools that reduce administration and streamline processes.
Assisting with any other non-engineering tasks.
Skills & Knowledge
An all-round generalist, hard worker, diligent, efficient, and strong team player.
The ability to communicate clearly and confidently, both in writing and verbally.
The willingness and ability to learn new skills quickly.
The ability to work reliably and accurately to a 'required' and consistent standard.
The ability to work on projects independently to provide creative solutions to problems.
High proficiency in MS Office and finance software (currently Xero).
A good understanding of all company procedures affecting business administration.
