Are you an experienced administrator looking for the next step in your career path? Are you looking for a position that can be challenging but highly rewarding?
You will be joining a fun, lively and friendly team responsible for processing school admissions applications within statutory deadlines and assessing pupils' eligibility for free home to school transport and free school meals.
You will undertake administrative duties including data inputting using bespoke systems, liaising with customers, answering telephone calls and dealing with a variety of queries. You will also have to perform other tasks such as, updating databases and spreadsheets, preparing and sending letters and supporting documents by email.
We require a motivated administrator with good communication and customer care skills suitable for dealing with a full range of service users and professionals, both from North Yorkshire Council and other organisations.
To be successful you must have good keyboard skills and experience in word, excel, databases and Outlook. You must also have good literacy and numeracy skills, be able to prioritise your own workload, be conscientious, well-organised, can work unsupervised and be flexible in your approach.
Due to the nature of the role, you will need to observe a high level of confidentiality and always comply with GDPR.
Although office working is required, we currently support a hybrid approach with a mixture of home and office working.
