The Growth Markets division of AtkinsRealis have an opportunity for a Business Support Administrator to join our team working in our offices in Bristol. As a Business Support Administrator, you will work collaboratively as part of a business support practice team and be responsible for providing excellent administrative support to the regional Growth Markets teams. This is a hybrid role with a mix of office (3 days in the office as a minimum) and home working.


The role will report into a Business Support Manager and will involve opportunities for collaboration regionally and across the national business support structure.

Your purpose:




Working as part of a regional admin pool picking up tasks from a shared inbox including:

Booking travel and accommodation including rail / flights / cars / visas etc. Support regional staff with meeting arrangements (booking rooms, catering and preparing/circulating document packs). Booking of external venues and handling logistics including liaising across other UK businesses and with external suppliers. Support to Business Support Managers and other Administrators when required (including annual leave cover). Support to line managers with the onboarding of new starters. Help coordinate, compile and format reports and other documents as required. Ad-hoc administrative duties and support to local regional teams as required. Reporting of IT or FM issues. Ordering office stationery if required. Ad-hoc office-based duties require our business support teams to be present in the office 3 days per week.

What you can bring:



Experience of providing a high quality and efficient administration service. Team player with ability to work autonomously. Ability to communicate at all levels with a positive, pro-active approach. Experience of working under pressure and meeting deadline. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, but also Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint). Experience of working as part of an Administration Team structure with a shared inbox could be advantageous. Great interpersonal skills (tact, integrity, confidentiality, patience and ability to get on well with all levels of staff). Proactive, organised and efficient. Able to pre-empt actions required and act accordingly. Able to keep calm under pressure and when working to often demanding deadlines. Flexibility to deal with changing priorities and tasks. Discretion when exposed to confidential information. Ability to pick up corporate systems quickly. Willingness to develop personally in role.
