The role of the Business Support Assistant is a crucial role to all our members, workplace Reps, but is pivotal to the Branch Chair in supporting the delivery of Bedfordshire Police Federation communications to our members and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Publishing agreed communications to our members using authorised media platforms.
Monitor all PFEW communications and inform the Branch Chair.
Manage and promote all relevant PFEW campaigns and events.
Manage and promote all Branch campaigns and events.
Disseminate ALL communications as directed by PFEW and Branch Chair.
Attend (if required) and promote events and campaigns to the membership.
Produce official documentation as directed by the Branch Chair.
Assist Office Manager to organise and attend all Branch Meetings and minute.
Pro-actively and objectively form modern ideas and better working practices to assist in the efficacy of the Branch and service to the membership.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Innovative and creative in writing communications.
Expereince of using MS suite.
Understanding of Social Media management.
Knowledge in Data Protection thus maintaining standards and working practices.
Document management and proof reading.
Ability to maintain social media and branch website updates in a timely manner.
Understanding of the Police environment would be an advantage.
Work as a team but have the ability to work unsupervised from time to time.
Additional RequirementsFlexible to potentially attend meetings at various locations within England.
