Henderson Wholesale is a leading Wholesaler in Northern Ireland and supplies goods to over 450 stores across various brands such as SPAR, EUROSPAR and VIVO. We source from local farmers, growers and producers and are proud to contribute to our local economy and environment.

The Purpose of the role:



The successful candidate will report to the Business Support Supervisor, providing support and process improvement for the Trading Function within Henderson Wholesale.



You will work closely with Business Support, Traders, Replenishment, Warehouse, Accounts and Sales & Marketing teams helping to identify and deliver opportunities for process improvement.



As a

Business Support Assistant

, you will:
Use Initiative and business acumen to identify and support process improvement, business performance and profitability. Identify areas for process improvement across existing ways of working relating to systems process and people. Engage directly with stakeholders to drive business outcomes. Be willing to develop in the business' transformation capabilities e.g Digital and Business analytics programs. Help ensure that a proposed process improvement meets requirements, supporting the design, build, and test of the changes and business readiness/training activities. Be focused on data integrity and data management.



Skills for Success



Joining us as

Business Support Assistant

, the minimum criteria you'll need is:
GCSE in English and Maths Level C or higher (or equivalent) Minimum 1 years' experience in project-based or process improvement role Proficient in numerical analysis, with strong skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, data visualisation, and analysis tools) Proven ability in process mapping and requirements gathering Confident in creating and delivering presentations to stakeholders

Analytical thinking and ability to use insight and data to inform work. Use of initiative and problem-solving skills Ability to work well as part of a team Excellent communication skills. It is

Desirable

if you have:
Certifications or formal training in software platforms such as Power Automate, SharePoint, or Power BI. Recognised Project Management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile, PMP). Experience within a fast-paced FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) environment. Experience in applying best practice Business and Process Analysis methodologies. Hands-on experience with tools including Power Automate, SharePoint, business analytics platforms (e.g., Power BI, Qlik Sense), and advanced Excel features such as macros.

This is a full-time position working 36.5 hours per week. Working hours will be 8:45am-4:45pm Monday to Thursday and 8:45am-3:45pm Friday. Hybrid working arrangement available.
