Cheshire West and Chester (flexible working across locations - depots located in Ellesmere Port and Winsford)
Cheshire West Recycling (CWR) is dedicated to delivering high-quality waste management and recycling services with a strong commitment to Safety, Responsibility, Trust, and Innovation. As a forward-thinking organisation, we prioritise people, sustainability, and excellence in everything we do.
Behind these frontline operations is our Business Support Team--a key function that enables effective planning, coordination, communication, and information management across the organisation.
We are looking for two Business Support Assistants to provide exceptional administrative and coordination support across operational services, fleet, finance, HR, HSEQ and service improvement.
This is not a generic admin role. It is a varied and fast-paced position that requires strong organisation, attention to detail, sound judgement, and confidence working with systems, data, and colleagues across all levels.
Support pathways
While both roles share the same responsibilities and grade, we are particularly interested in candidates who bring strengths in one of two specialist pathways, reflecting the diverse work of the Business Support Team.
This pathway focuses on technical administration and systems support to underpin frontline service delivery. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
Experience supporting operational services using business-critical systems and structured processes.
Experience planning, scheduling, or coordinating activities within a system, including updating schedules, making changes, and managing day-to-day issues.
Confidence using operational systems to plan, manage and deliver services, including routine system administration and data quality management.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work calmly under pressure--prioritising tasks and escalating issues when needed.
This pathway suits candidates with technical administration or systems support experience, particularly where planning, scheduling and accurate data are essential to service success.
This pathway focuses on providing high-quality business administration, meeting support and communications assistance, including support to managers and the Senior Management Team. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
Experience providing business or administrative support in a busy, fast-paced setting.
Confidence managing competing deadlines, priorities, and changing requirements.
Strong experience supporting meetings--preparing papers, taking accurate notes, and tracking actions through to completion.
A professional and discreet approach to supporting managers or senior leaders, with minimal supervision.
Excellent organisational and written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise updates and keep accurate records.
This pathway suits candidates with a solid business administration background who are confident working independently and supporting senior teams.
