A varied high-responsibility admin/operations role in a growing business



Kingsland Farm Partnership Limited is an expanding, family-run agribusiness producing nearly 20 million chicks annually for the broiler industry. KFPL, along with its affiliated entities, also owns and manages farmland, as well as commercial and residential properties in Devon and Somerset.

We are seeking a strategically minded individual to transform our office space by implementing the most effective and efficient procedures available. This is a crucial next step to enable future growth and maintain our current operations. The office function should be designed to proactively support the directors, farm managers and teams, forecast cash flow, control costs, and anticipate risks.

In addition to office-based responsibilities, the individual will correspond and coordinate with a variety of stakeholders -- including customer and supplier representatives, contractors, auditors, agents, prospective and existing tenants -- facilitating collaboration to meet the dynamic needs of daily operations. This is a full time (40 hrs / week), mostly office-based role, with visits to sites as necessary. Salary negotiable.

Examples of business-as-usual tasks:



Lead on the use of technology to streamline our administrative processes and improve communication, oversight of data collection and reporting as required. Administration of staff, payroll, risk assessments, training etc. Liaise with the farm teams for cycle calendar planning, booking contractors and elements of audit preparation and quality control. Assist our bookkeeper to ensure effective policies are in place for controlling revenue collection and expenses. Reviewing insurance policies, securing electrical contracts, submitting FiT + RHI claims. Draft commercial leases, schedules of condition, grazing licenses, FBTs. Prompt correspondence with tenants and stakeholders, handling deposits with the DPS. Produce cashflow statements and collate and analyse management reports.

The ideal candidate will have the following:



A proactive and organised individual with a sharp eye for detail. A drive to take ownership and responsibility. See things through from start to finish, ensuring practices are not unintentionally dropped. Use technology to automate tasks and reduce manual entry and human error. Be proactive to meet the dynamic needs of the business.
Preferable but not essential:

Experience in farming and administration of rural land. Accounts, HR, Payroll, Legal, H&S knowledge. Experience in analysis of data and management accounts.
