We are looking to recruit an individual who is motivated, professional, and enthusiastic to cover a range of duties and responsibilities. The postholder will be expected to work under pressure, problem solve, manage staff and be able to communicate effectively at all levels.
The Business Support Manager has responsibility for managing Processing Assistants and Processing Officers within the Parking Services Notices Processing Team alongside two existing post holders. Due to new schemes being implemented and staffing levels we are recruiting another Business Support Manager to support the team, The successful candidate will have proven supervisory experience and team leadership skills with the ability to create, maintain and enhance productive working relationships with colleagues and staff. Due to the technicality of the work, experience in a parking related or regulated area of work is desirable.
The Notice Processing team are based within The Hub alongside other Hub services such as Building Control, Licensing, Environmental Services, Planning Records and Enquiries and Service Support. Each department work closely with each other and linked Services.
The successful candidate will bring new ideas and innovative ways of working. Candidates should have strong IT and analytical skills and be able to use a wide range of Microsoft 365 packages. Excellent communication (written and verbal) and strong organisational and time keeping skills are also required. This varied and challenging role requires a keen commitment to teamwork, exceptional communication and customer care skills with the ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. You will support with team projects, ensure team member wellbeing and collaborate with other services to support with the overall success of the team.
The role is part of a hybrid working model which includes working at home and in the office. Office attendance is required for management cover, training, meetings and for operational service requirements.

Full-time employees work 37 hours for 52 weeks of the year and we offer a generous holiday entitlement. We are open to discussions about a wide range of flexible working opportunities which benefit you and the Council, including reduced hour contracts, working part time or as a job share.
If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide pay slip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
