Position Overview:

The Business Support Officer is essential to our operations, providing key administrative, compliance, and operational assistance. This role ensures seamless business operations by supporting regulatory compliance, risk management, and day-to-day tasks. Working collaboratively across teams, the Business Support Officer will manage workloads, maintain records, and drive continuous improvement, upholding high standards of professionalism and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities



Operational Support:

Streamline daily business operations, ensuring that all administrative tasks are executed efficiently.

Compliance Program Development

- Assist with developing, implementing, and updating compliance policies, procedures, and guidelines based on relevant laws, regulations, and required standards. Assist with conducting compliance risk assessments to identify potential areas of vulnerability and recommend appropriate measures for mitigation. Develop and maintain regular reports on business activities, contributing to strategy and planning. Prepare regular compliance reports for senior management and the Board of Directors, highlighting areas of concern and recommended corrective actions.

Training and Education

- Develop and deliver compliance training programme for employees, ensuring they are aware of their obligations and responsibilities regarding compliance matters. Assist with conducting webinars, workshops and seminars to promote a strong compliance culture throughout the organisation.

Policy Communication and Enforcement

- Communicate compliance policies and procedures effectively across the organisation to ensure awareness and understanding. Serve as a central point of communication, relaying information between departments and ensuring clarity and consistency across the organisation.

Regulatory Compliance

- Stay up-to-date with changes in relevant laws, regulations, and required guidelines that impact the organisations' operations. Assist with interpreting and communicating the implications of regulatory changes to relevant staff.

Risk Management:

Assist the senior managers to identify and assess potential compliance risks. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimise compliance-related vulnerabilities.

Internal Control Review

- Assist with evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls related to compliance and propose improvements where necessary.

Contracts Management

- Assist with the management of the Company's third-party contacts.

Calendar and Schedule Management

- Coordinate and manage daily, weekly, and monthly calendar's, including scheduling appointments, meetings, conferences, and travel arrangements, and dealing with conflicts.

Travel Arrangements

- Assist with planning and coordinating travel, including accommodations, transportation, and itinerary planning.

Meeting Facilitation:

Coordinate and manage meetings, including scheduling, preparing agendas, and minute-taking.

Project Assistance

- Provide support in project management, assisting in coordination and implementation of business initiatives.

Document Management

- Organise, manage and maintain electronic and physical files, records and documents to facilitate easy retrieval and organisation.

HR Administration

- Assist and maintain HR records as directed.

Requirements

:

Bachelor's degree in business administration, law, finance, or a related field. A higher degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Compliance Professional) may be preferred. Experience of supporting management/executives and working in a compliance, legal, or regulatory role. Thorough understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and requirements related to company operations. Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex regulatory issues and recommend practical solutions. Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Proficiency in using productivity software and office tools, such as Microsoft Office Suite and calendar management systems. Strong ethical values and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and exercise sound judgment

Pay: From 28,000.00 per year
