Contract type: Permanent, Full Time and Term time + 4 weeks. (Part time hours would be considered)

Reporting to: Chief Financial Officer

The role of the Business Support Officer is to provide administrative, financial, HR and H&S support to the central trust team. The post is office based at the head office in All Hallows Catholic College, Macclesfield. Full training will be given, and the post holder will work under supervision, reporting to the Chief Financial Officer.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced administrator to join our growing Trust of 15 schools which comprises two secondary schools and thirteen primary schools.

The post holder will be an experienced individual and will have a successful track record of working within administration. The role is to support the senior leadership team to ensure that trust schools are fulfilling their financial, governance and compliance responsibilities.

The role will involve processing financial documents, producing HR and H&S reports, managing diaries and travel arrangements, governance administration and maintaining systems. Strong IT skills including excel and word are essential as are organisational skills and attention to detail.

The successful candidate must be competent in using financial and compliance systems. They must have strong communication skills both written and verbal as the role will involve responding to phone calls and enquiries.

They will need to establish and maintain good working relationships with stakeholders including School Business Managers, Hub Managers and Clerk to Governors.

The successful candidate will:

Have significant experience of working in administration.

Have strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Be able to work independently and with initiative.

Be able to prioritise workload and manage deadlines

Have excellent communication skills

Have a good working knowledge of Microsoft programmes such as Excel and Word.

Have a professional manner and be flexible in their approach
