Happy Days is seeking a forward-thinking and technically skilled
Business Systems Manager
to join our growing team. This is a key role within our IT function, responsible for overseeing and optimising the systems that power our organisation--including Connect, Famly, CIPHR, Sage, and others. You'll be instrumental in shaping our technology strategy, ensuring our systems are secure, fully licensed, and aligned with our operational goals.
#
What you will be doing -
In this role, you'll research and recommend new technologies that can enhance our business performance, while staying up to date with the latest software developments. You'll act as the primary liaison with software providers, managing relationships and negotiating contracts to ensure we receive the best possible service. Internally, you'll collaborate with department leads to understand their system needs, implement new solutions, and train key users to maximise the value of our tools--developing clear user guides and support materials along the way.
You'll also lead projects related to our business systems architecture, whether that involves upgrading existing platforms or rolling out entirely new ones. Maintaining our data warehouse and repositories of business information will be part of your remit, as will supporting other teams in producing IT reports for senior leadership. As part of the wider IT team, you'll help resolve technical issues when needed and occasionally deputise for the IT Manager.
#
Who we're looking for -
We're looking for someone with strong experience managing business systems in a large, preferably multi-site organisation. You should have solid technical knowledge of IT infrastructure, including networks and cloud services. Familiarity with Python, PowerBI, and PowerShell would be a significant advantage, as would experience managing complex projects using methodologies like PRINCE2. The ideal candidate will be a confident leader, capable of working independently and staying focused on business objectives in a fast-paced environment.
