Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Butcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and culinary practices, we would however, consider hiring someone with no experience as an apprentice on the appropriate pay.

As a Butcher, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality cuts of meat, ensuring adherence to food safety standards, and maintaining a clean and organised workspace.

Duties

Prepare various cuts of meat according to customer specifications and industry standards. Operate and maintain butchery equipment safely and efficiently. Ensure all meat products are handled in compliance with food safety regulations. Assist in inventory management by tracking stock levels and ordering supplies as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the butchery area Collaborate with staff to fulfil orders and meet customer demands. Provide exceptional customer service by answering queries regarding meat selection and preparation techniques.

Qualifications

Proven experience in food production or as a butcher is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques related to meat preparation. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in a kitchen environment. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. A passion for quality food preparation and customer satisfaction is essential.
