Job Summary

We are looking to recruit a Part Time Butchery Assistant to join our team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food production, have a good work ethic and helpful and friendly customer service approach.

This role involves assisting in the preparation and processing of meat products while adhering to strict food safety standards. The Butchery Assistant will work closely with the butchers and other team members and contribute to maintaining the highest quality of our products.

What you'll be doing

Assist in the preparation and cutting of various meats, ensuring precision and attention to detail. Learning to make burgers and sausages to specification Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the butchery area, following all hygiene protocols. Support in the packaging and labelling of meat products for display or sale. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations throughout all processes. Help in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting any shortages. Greeting and serving customers on the butcher counter.

Experience

Previous experience in a food production environment is advantageous but not essential. Familiarity with food safety standards and practices is highly desirable. Strong attention to detail, with an ability to work efficiently under pressure. Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude are essential for success in this role.

Hours: Minimum 20 per week.

Working days: Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday

Pay: 10.00-12.21 per hour
