Responsibilities

Prepare and cut various types of meat according to specifications, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation. Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the butchery area, adhering to strict food safety standards. Monitor inventory levels of meat products and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation of meat for menu items. Provide excellent customer service by answering questions regarding meat selection and preparation methods. Follow all health and safety regulations while handling equipment and food products. Assist in training new staff members on best practices in butchery and food preparation.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Butcher or in a similar role within the culinary or food production industry. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Proficient in various cutting techniques and equipment used in butchery. Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of hygiene. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members. A passion for culinary arts, with an eagerness to learn and develop skills further within the kitchen environment.
