Duties

Prepare and cut various types of meat according to specifications and customer requests. Ensure all meat products are handled safely and stored correctly to maintain freshness. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the butchery area, adhering to food safety regulations. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation of meat products for menu items. Provide excellent customer service by answering queries regarding meat selections and preparation methods. Stay updated on industry trends and techniques related to butchery and culinary practices.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Butcher or in a similar role within a kitchen or restaurant environment. Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food production. Proficient in various butchering techniques and knife skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude. A passion for culinary arts and commitment to delivering high-quality products.
