In this role, you will play a crucial part in the food production process, ensuring that high-quality standards are maintained throughout. Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of food items according to established recipes and standards. Ensure all food production meets safety and hygiene regulations. Assist in butchery tasks, including the preparation of meats for cooking. Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain an efficient workflow during service hours. Monitor food quality and presentation before serving to ensure customer satisfaction. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients. Participate in regular training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food safety practices.

Skills

Proven experience in food production and preparation within a professional kitchen environment. Strong culinary skills with an understanding of various cooking techniques. Familiarity with butchery practices is highly desirable. Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations is essential. Previous restaurant experience is an advantage, demonstrating the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, ensuring high standards are consistently met. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated when required.
