We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Butcher to join our team. As a Butcher, you will play a crucial role in our kitchen and food production processes, ensuring that all products meet our high standards of food safety and quality.

Duties

Prepare and cut various types of meat, including beef, pork, lamb, and poultry, according to specifications. Ensure that all meat products are handled and stored in compliance with food safety regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the butchery area, adhering to hygiene standards. Collaborate with kitchen staff to fulfil meat orders for restaurant services or retail sales. Monitor inventory levels of meat products and assist in ordering supplies as needed. Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about meat cuts and preparation methods. Keep up-to-date with industry trends and techniques related to butchery and food production.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Butcher or in a similar role within the culinary or food production industry. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Proficient in various cutting techniques and equipment used in butchery. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure. Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. A passion for culinary arts and commitment to delivering high-quality products. Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are advantageous but not essential.
