We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Butcher to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production and preparation, with a keen understanding of food safety practices. As a Butcher, you will be responsible for processing various types of meat, ensuring high-quality standards are met while maintaining a clean and efficient working environment.
removes skin, hide, hairs, internal organs, etc.
cuts or saws carcasses into manageable portions.
removes bones, gristle, surplus fat, rind and other waste material.
cuts carcass parts into chops, joints, steaks, etc. for sale.
Prepares meat for curing or other processing; cleans tools and work surfaces.
Full knowledge and experience within the industry, particularly with Lamb & poultry.
Must be able to carry out the full de boning process
Must be able to carry out trimming to a high standard
Prepare standard cuts of meat for sale in retail store
Ensuring that all workspaces are sanitised to meet government health & safety guidelines.
Ability to work in a team
Be self-motivated.

Skills required
Proven experience as a Butcher
Excellent customer service skills
Knowledge of Halal meat requirements
Knowledge and experience of the meat dietary requirements of the Muslim communities in the UK
