We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Butcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production and culinary arts, with a passion for high-quality meat preparation. As a Butcher, you will be responsible for processing various types of meat, ensuring adherence to food safety standards, and providing exceptional service to our customers. This role is vital in maintaining the quality and presentation of our meat products.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cut various types of meat, including beef, pork, lamb, and poultry, according to specifications.
Ensure all meat products are handled in compliance with food safety regulations.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including tools and equipment.
Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
Provide knowledgeable advice to customers regarding meat selection and preparation techniques.
Experience
Previous experience as a butcher or in a similar role within the culinary or food production industry is preferred.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
Familiarity with various cutting techniques and tools used in meat preparation.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation.
