The Company has won many prestigious awards over the years including N. Ireland Butcher of the Year and the UK Butchers Plus Award, most recently NI Farm Shop of the Year 2023 and this has been achieved with a combined excellence of product and staff.
ROLE OVERVIEW:
The role is a dual one, mixing Butchery production and Butchery counter roles. You will work as part of the friendly customer facing butchery team in the Farm Shop and learn new skills as part of the Production team. You will be part of a fun team committed to providing first class service and top quality produce.. This is the perfect role for someone with the desire to learn a new skill and further develop those skills within a busy retail butchery environment.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Making Burgers, Sausages etc for sale in the Farm Shop
Stock Intake and Rotation
Serving customers, providing excellent service at all times, Answering customer queries, helping with cooking advice etc, Working as part of a team to maintain the highest standards of customer service
Helping to maintain the Meat counter display and preparing meat products for sale to a consistent standard
Stocking shelves and ensure goods are rotated and handled with care ( includes fresh & frozen product)
Prepare, pack and label product for sale
Processing Orders for Click and Collect/ Home Delivery
To ensure that the working area is cleaned to the highest standards, e.g. machines, surfaces, fridges etc, ensuring that Food Safety and Hygiene guidelines are followed
Involves some heavy lifting and is a physical role
To assist in any other relevant duties as required.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
A sales person, able to banter/chat with customers and use every single opportunity to interact with customers.
Genuine interest in food, willing to learn more about product so you can advise the customer and brimming with ideas
The role is a physical one and involves working in fridges/ freezers
Ability to work different days in the week to meet the needs of the business
A self-starter with high energy levels, displays common sense and ability to develop so can progress.
An effective listener who carry out instructions given by department and communicate with team
