Duties

Oversee daily operations of the butchery, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality output. Manage inventory levels, including ordering and receiving stock to maintain optimal supply levels. Train and supervise butchery staff, fostering a culture of excellence and adherence to food safety protocols. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting regular inspections to maintain cleanliness and organisation in the work area. Develop and implement new recipes and product offerings that align with customer preferences and market trends. Collaborate with other kitchen departments to ensure seamless operations and high-quality food preparation. Maintain accurate records of production, waste, and inventory for reporting purposes.

Experience

Proven experience as a butcher or butchery manager is essential. Culinary experience with a strong understanding of food preparation techniques is highly desirable. Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations, ensuring compliance at all times. Excellent Customer service skills are must. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
