Job Description

Stolle is the world's leading supplier of two piece can and end-making machinery for the global can-making industry, with global revenue in excess of $500m. Stolle high speed machines can be found in can plants around the world performing the value-added functions of the can-making process. In addition to supplying individual machines, Stolle design, install and support complete can and end lines for beverage and food cans.

Located in Altham, Accrington and soon to move to Burnley, Stolle Machinery produces a complete line of efficient Stolle Neckers, Washers, Dryers, Ovens, as well as bodymaker coolant filtration systems and also houses a full precision machining operation.

Job Purpose



To support the Purchasing Team with the purchasing of machine components & materials.

Primary Responsibilities



To review MRP system information daily and take appropriate actions on agreed stock levels. To identify mutually beneficial opportunities for new supplier agreements and implement these seeking to agree improvements to pricing and call-off processes. To place and expedite purchase orders where necessary. To ensure that all issues requiring escalation are indeed escalated in a timely manner to minimise the knock-on effects on production. To take ownership stock control of all raw materials. To actively benchmark with market suppliers to ensure the business is always getting the best market value on materials. Liaise regularly with Commercial and Planning departments to ensure purchased parts remain aligned to production capacity. To ensure, through close liaison with the Planning department, that issues such as Returns are processed effectively and in a timely manner. Ensure quality and performance of supplier materials/parts fall in line with acceptable standards. Implement and monitor supplier performance using procurement KPI, supplier audit and annual reviews. Ensure all procurement activities are carried out in line with health, safety and environmental requirements

Commercially astute with a proven ability to manage costs.

Good communication and organization skills and the ability to work well within a 'team-working' environment.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver quality work on time, within budget

Using ERP systems

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE



CIPS (desirable)

Technical engineering experience and the ability to read engineering drawings. (essential)

Experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment where production, material planning and purchasing is controlled through an electronic ERP system

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 35,000.00-38,000.00 per year
