Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Buyer to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods to meet our operational needs.

The Role

Negotiate with suppliers to source and achieve the best possible price for parts, materials, goods and services ensuring purchases align with the company's needs and budget.

Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships.

Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure advantageous terms.

Utilise supply chain management techniques to optimise procurement processes while searching for solutions to reduce costs.

Collaborate with internal departments across the business to identify procurement needs.

Monitor inventory and manage stock levels to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.

Evaluate supplier performance and address issues promptly.

Requirements

Previous experience in a similar role with manufacturing or engineering background (2+ years' experience preferred).

Demonstratable experience of excellent negotiation skills.

Knowledge of logistics and supply chain management principles.

Experience in the use of ERP systems preferred (experience of EFACS system is advantageous).

Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office packages.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with a can-do attitude.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team to manage multiple priorities.

Attention to detail and strong analytical skills

Salary offered will be dependant upon experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 30,000.00-35,000.00 per year
