We're seeking a proactive, Estimator /Buyer to join our Purchasing Team. This role involves supporting sales through accurate job estimating, procurement, Based in Fordingbridge, you'll report directly to the UK Purchasing Manager and play a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of parts across our supply chain.

Key duties

Analyse drawings, specifications, and related documents to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates

Work closely with project managers, sales department, engineers to gather all necessary information for informed estimating

Support negotiations to secure competitive pricing and favourable terms

Raise purchase orders and manage delivery schedules to meet production plans

Monitor material availability and proactively address shortages or delays

Role Requirements

Proven experience in a similar purchasing role

Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail

Strong commitment to achieving deadlines

Understand currencies and markets to use in expertise to minimise the risk to the company

Strong maths and IT skills with the ability to use daily World, Excel, MRP

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams

Benefits

Competitive salary: 25k-30k, depending on skills and experience

Working hours : Monday-Thursday 8:30am, Friday 8:30am to 4:00pm

Holidays: 22 days plus bank holidays, increasing annually to a maximum of 28 days
