Mascot Civils is a leading civil engineering contractor delivering critical infrastructure for the power and energy sector across the UK. As our business expands rapidly, we're looking for an experienced and proactive

Buyer

to join our commercial team.

The Role:

Source and procure materials and subcontract services for projects nationwide. Develop & Maintain reliable supply chain UK wide. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, quality standards, and reliable delivery schedules. Negotiate contracts and framework agreements that deliver best value to the business. Monitor market trends and seek opportunities for cost savings and innovation. Liaise closely with project teams to forecast material requirements and ensure timely procurement to avoid delays on site. Maintain procurement records and assist with reporting for commercial reviews. Contribute to the development of procurement strategies that support Mascot Civils' growth.

About You:

Experience in a Buyer role within civil engineering, construction, or infrastructure. Knowledge of materials, and subcontract services relevant to civil engineering, particularly in power and energy projects. Confident negotiator with excellent interpersonal skills. Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Comfortable using procurement software and Microsoft Office.
