Buyer (12-Month Maternity Cover)

Location: Enterprise Control Systems, Wappenham

Hybrid: 3 Days Onsite / 2 Days Remote

Enterprise Control Systems (ECS), part of SPX Technologies, is seeking a proactive and experienced Buyer to join our small but busy Procurement team on a 12-month maternity cover contract. With the current post-holder leaving in late August, we're keen to ensure a smooth handover period.

This is a hands-on role in a high-paced environment, ideal for someone who thrives on variety and enjoys managing multiple tasks. You'll be responsible for procuring a broad range of goods and services--from internal consumables and ad-hoc requirements to complex mechanical and electronic components and assemblies--primarily from a local and stable supply chain. You'll also be involved in sourcing, supplier engagement, and general procurement administration, including issuing RFQs raising POs resolving queries and managing transactional tasks.

We're looking for someone who:

Has experience in a manufacturing or engineering setting (planning or stores background also considered) Is confident with supply chain processes and supplier relationship management Ideally has experience with sourcing new suppliers Is familiar with Syspro ERP or similar systems Can operate with minimal supervision in a busy, hands-on environment
