Role Overview


We're looking for an Assistant Buyer who thrives in a dynamic environment and has a keen eye for design, quality, and value with a passion for Home & Interiors. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the look and feel of our property developments, helping to source stylish, high-quality materials, furnishings, and finishes that bring our spaces to life. As a Buying Assistant, you'll play a key role helping to ensure that materials, services, and suppliers are sourced efficiently, cost-effectively, and in line with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities



Procurement Support



Obtain competitive quotes, prepare cost comparisons, and ensure all procurement activities follow company policy and approval processes. Raise and manage Purchase Orders, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing. Support the preparation and maintenance of Procurement Schedules, Requisition Trackers, and Material Comparison Sheets. Help identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiencies across supplier spend.

Supplier & Contract Management



Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring reliability, quality, and value for money. Maintain the preferred supplier database, ensuring up-to-date contact, performance, and compliance information. Liaise with suppliers to confirm delivery schedules and resolve any supply chain issues promptly. Support the negotiation of supplier terms, including pricing, payment, and rebate structures.

Skills & Experience



Previous experience in a buying, procurement, or commercial support role (ideally in property development). Strong administrative, analytical, and organisational skills. Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities with both internal teams and external suppliers. High attention to detail and accuracy in data handling and record-keeping. Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and comfortable learning procurement or finance software. Ability to prioritise tasks, manage deadlines, and adapt in a fast-paced project environment. A proactive, solution-focused attitude.
