Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Cabinet Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess advanced woodworking skills, a strong understanding of cabinetry design and construction, and the ability to deliver high-quality, custom cabinetry solutions. This role requires a high level of craftsmanship, precision, and the ability to interpret detailed CAD drawings and specifications.

Duties

Fabricate cabinets and furniture pieces according to specifications and design plans. Assemble components using hand tools and power tools, ensuring precision and quality in every piece. Perform joinery techniques to create strong, durable connections between materials. Conduct repairs and modifications on existing cabinetry as needed. Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Veneering Lift heavy materials safely, demonstrating proper techniques for heavy lifting during fabrication and installation processes. Construct, assemble, and install custom cabinets, vanities, shelves, and other woodwork. Operate woodworking machinery (saws, jointers, planers, routers, etc.) safely and efficiently. Select appropriate materials, including wood types, veneers, hardware, and finishes. Sand, finish, and inspect completed pieces to ensure quality standards are met. Maintain a clean and organized workshop and ensure all tools and equipment are in good working order. Adhere to workplace safety protocols and company policies at all times.

Essential Skills -

8 years of proven experience in cabinet making or a related field is essential. Strong skills in fabrication, assembly, carpentry, and joinery techniques. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the role. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. A valid driver's licence may be required for transportation purposes related to job duties. Excellent time management and organizational skills.

2-Day Paid Trial:

Candidates who are successful at the interview stage will be invited for a 2-day paid trial to assess practical skills and workshop fit.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 39 per week
