Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cable Jointer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical cables and connections. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, as well as proficiency in using various tools and equipment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in cable jointing and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair electrical cables in accordance with industry standards. Perform jointing of high and low voltage cables, ensuring proper connections and insulation. Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out tasks efficiently. Conduct site assessments to determine the best methods for cable installation and repair. Dig trenches or holes as required for cable laying or repair work. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to safety regulations. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively. Proficient in welding techniques relevant to cable jointing tasks. Experience using hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently. Solid understanding of electrical systems and components related to cable installation. Ability to dig trenches or perform manual labour as required by the job. Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship and safety compliance.
