For over 25 years React Industrial Solutions have been supplying the industrial market sector with quality maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) products including bearings, mechanical power transmission, pneumatics, hydraulics, tools, health and safety equipment, lubricants, engineering, fabrication and mechanical support services.
The Role:
This is a hands-on design role for a skilled CAD professional who can work independently and take projects from concept through to manufacture. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate 3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawing packs for fabrication and machining.
Key Responsibilities:
Create 3D models and detailed 2D drawing packs using
SolidWorks
Design sheet metal components with consideration for
bend allowances
, fold lines, and manufacturing constraints
Develop
complex assemblies
and exploded views with full BOMs
Conduct
site visits
to carry out
measure-ups
and liaise with clients or project teams
Apply sound understanding of
engineering tolerances
(bearings, circlips, press fits, etc.)
Ensure all designs are
manufacture-ready
, taking into account materials, tolerances, and fabrication techniques
Work proactively on multiple projects, managing priorities and deadlines independently
Requirements:
Proven experience using
SolidWorks
in a fabrication or mechanical design environment
Strong knowledge of
sheet metal design
, including fold/bend development
Experience producing
complete drawing packs
for manufacture
Good understanding of
machined and fabricated tolerances
, especially around rotating assemblies and mechanical fitments
Ability to carry out
site surveys
and convert measurements into practical designs
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work on own initiative
Good communication skills and team collaboration
Working hours - 40 hours p/w
Salary - 40,000 - 50,000 depending on experience
Location - Bicester, Oxfordshire
