We are seeking a skilled CAD Designer with strong proficiency in SolidWorks to support with design development and planning applications. The role involves producing accurate 3D models of parts from schematics, 2D drawings from assemblies and simulation studies where required.
As a small team, we may require assistance in other areas of the business, for example support with administration, order tracking and marketing.
Responsibilities
Create detailed 3D parts and assemblies using SolidWorks, based on schematics and design requirements
Produce accurate 2D drawings from assemblies for manufacture, review, and approval
Collaborate with customers to develop and refine design features
Support planning permission submissions, including documentation of existing buildings and proposed changes to external features
Conduct simulation and analysis studies where required to support design decisions
Additional responsibilities may include updating spreadsheets, assisting with drawing up factory orders, formatting content for marketing e.g. posters for social media
Skills
Proficient in SolidWorks (essential)
Strong communication skills for working directly with customers
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
