Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CAD Technician/Draughtsman to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings for Steelwork and Architectural Metalwork. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work collaboratively with engineers and architects to bring projects from concept to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and a passion for design and construction.

Responsibilities

Develop and prepare detailed CAD drawings for various projects. Collaborate with project teams to understand design requirements and specifications. Ensure accuracy and compliance of drawings with industry standards and regulations. Modify existing designs based on feedback from engineers or clients. Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including specifications and reports. Create 3D models as required for presentations or project visualisation. Maintain an organised library of CAD files and project documentation for easy access by team members.

Qualifications

Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, Tekla, Advance Steel Experience in producing technical drawings in a professional environment. Strong understanding of metalwork/ steelwork and construction processes. Excellent attention to detail with a methodical approach to work. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Good communication skills would be helpful/ but not necessary to liaise with clients. Relevant qualifications in engineering, architecture, or a related field would be advantageous but not essential.
