Your New Role







Your role is focused on creating, maintaining, and designing technical documentation related to manufacturing and product delivery for technical and non-technical customers and end-users. This documentation covers a range of products, services, manuals, and systems for target audiences with varying degrees of technical sophistication, that meet commercial, leisure, operational and regulatory requirements.




What You Can Expect from the Role






Key Responsibilities and accountabilities:



Document Creation and Maintenance: The role involves using software like Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office to create, design and update various types of documentation, such as manufacturing specifications, user manuals, and technical reports.

Collaboration and Communication: You will work closely with different teams, including design, production, and engineering, to ensure that technical details are accurately captured and communicated.

Managing Product Lifecycle: The job requires managing your workload to ensure timely delivery of documents that support the product lifecycle, including manufacturing processes, product updates, and change management. Ability to follow set brief requirements, working cross functionally on tasks and projects, meeting deadlines set.

Tech Pack Management: You will be responsible for creating and managing technical packs that serve as references for both internal and external teams, making effective use of language and ensure understanding by end user. The use of document management systems like PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) and SharePoint is crucial.

Product review: working collaboratively with design, engineering, and quality teams, documenting the inspection and review findings with clear instruction and solution to manufacturer.

Special projects: create graphics, using product critical dimensions handover for customer SMU requests and follow through on final implementation once approved.

Problem Solving: The role also involves identifying and resolving issues raised by audit, design, or production teams regarding technical documentation and providing detailed feedback on solutions.

Drafts and maintains technical and/or user documentation to a high standard, ensuring appropriate and effective use of language and on-time delivery. Creates appropriate backup files to ensure instant recovery if problems occur

Reviews non-compliance issues and finds solutions to ad hoc problems with written product materials, requiring detailed work with design engineers, internal customers and, potentially, external customers




The Experience, Qualifications and Skills You Will Have






Essential Criteria




College A levels or BTEC in relevant degrees or undergraduate degrees 2 - 5 years work experience Proven experience in Adobe Suite specifically Adobe Illustrator Good Microsoft Office skills Understanding of Gerber or PLM (not essential)
