Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled CAD Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in various CAD software and possess a strong understanding of construction and design principles. This role involves creating detailed drawings and schematics that support our engineering and construction projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications.

Duties

Develop and prepare detailed CAD drawings, schematics, and models using software such as AutoCAD and Advance Steel. Collaborate with engineers and architects to understand project requirements and translate them into technical drawings. Utilise SketchUp and NavisWorks for 3D modelling and visualisation of designs. Assist in the preparation of construction documents, including plans, sections, elevations, and details. Conduct quality checks on drawings to ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications. Maintain an organised library of CAD files and documentation for easy access by team members. Participate in project meetings to discuss design changes, updates, and progress.

Qualifications

Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD and Advance Steel is essential. Strong understanding of construction principles and practices is preferred. Experience in creating detailed schematics and technical drawings is highly desirable. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing project requirements. Relevant qualifications or experience in engineering or architecture would be advantageous.
