As our CAD Technician you will play a key role in creating detailed technical drawings and 3D models, supporting our engineering and design team in the delivery of complex projects and updating our legacy catalogue. You will work with a variety of cutting-edge software, ensuring designs meet the highest standard of accuracy and quality. In this role, you will collaborate with experts from multiple disciplines, gaining exposure to a wide range of exciting and challenging projects including the digital revolution of our intellectual property.

Key responsibilities:



Prepare layouts, designs and specifications form new, proposed, and existing products/projects approved by the Senior Engineers.

Create, modify, and optimise CAD models and technical drawings, saving them in the PDM vault.

Initiate and check Non-Conformance Reports (NCR's) & Engineering Change Orders (ECO's).

Maintain engineering documentation as required.

Participate in prototyping, testing and product development.

Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) for use by the production team.

Prepare and support materials for products designed.

Provide continuing technical support for the production and quality processes.

Work closely with the engineering team to ensure designs meet all required specifications and standards.

Provide technical support for Sales, Marketing and Service operations.

Prepare detailed documentation for manufacturing, assembly, and installation processes.

Contribute to positive Company branding by projecting a knowledgeable, professional, and customer-orientated image to customers.

Support continuous improvement in design efficiency and product innovation.

Skills and Qualifications:



Proven experience as a CAD Technician, ideally within manufacturing, engineering, or a similar field.

Proficiently in SolidWorks.

An understanding of engineering drawings and design principles.

Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Microsoft office suite skills.

FEA analysis and calculation proficiency.
