Summary

An opportunity for a highly talented CAD Designer/Technician

OR a Graduate

to join our small team based in Lancashire. Actively assisting and supporting the Design Manager you will have impeccable attention to detail to turn concepts and site templates into production-ready files. You will be working in conjunction with external suppliers, Engineers, Architects, clients, sub-contractors and the internal production team contributing significantly to our projects' success and quality.

Responsibilities

Develop and create detailed design plans for timber frame structures Producing accurate technical drawings for workshop fabrication and digital CNC files for factory production ensuring every detail meets both technical and aesthetic standards Collaborate with project managers and clients to understand design requirements Utilise Hsb CAD and Autocad software to produce accurate drawings and specifications Ensure designs comply with industry standards and regulations Participate in client meetings Provide support during the fabrication process to ensure design integrity.
Requirements

At least 3+ years proven experience as a timber frame or CAD designer in the construction or architectural industry Educated to a high degree level in Architecture, CAD or a construction related field Permanently reside in the UK Strong knowledge of timber frame construction techniques and materials. Proficiency in CAD software and other design tools. Good working knowledge of Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word and Teams Have an understanding of materials/components used in the construction of low-rise buildings Produce accurate Bills of Materials and ancillary take-offs Experience with steel detailing, designing trussed roofs, I Joist floor advantageous An understanding of current building regulations Self-motivated, with the ability to work on your own initiative and manage your workload based on priorities Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to form and maintain strong working relationships with team members and clients Reliable, punctual, dedicated and driven Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
