Role Description

We have an opportunity for a thorough and committed individual who has
technical design skills to join our team in Thirsk, North Yorkshire.

We are looking for an experienced Cad designer and Programmer with a
range of skills:

Good communication and Cad drawing skills. Good understanding of furniture production and materials. Competent user of Solidworks. Experience with CNC programming, ideally using SWOOD or Solidcam (previous experience with similar CAM tools such as Mastercam, Alphacam etc will be transferable). Ability to manage information and work across simultaneous tasks. Team player, looking for opportunities to work with others and improve our business performance. Accurate and thorough, with a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities

Consideration of client needs within review of detailed drawings with sales staff. Produce 3d Models and clear accurate production drawings for the workshop. Generate cutting list and bill of materials. Review models with workshop to generate continuous improvements. Generate CNC cam programs using Swood and Solidcam up to 5 Axis level from the 3d models for both sheet Nesting and individual part machining. Research and ensure any bought in components work with the design. Ensure efficient use of materials and time. Provide purchase order requirements for bought in goods within the projects. Closely work with other members of the team to ensure delivery and installation deadlines are met.
Job Type: Full time, Permanent, office based 08.30 to 17.00 Monday to Friday, with customer and site visits.

Salary: Negotiable depending on experience + benefits, and opportunities for development.
