Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cafe Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring our cafe runs smoothly and efficiently, providing excellent service to our customers. This position requires a passion for food and customer service, along with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Assist with food preparation, ensuring all items are prepared according to food safety standards. Also working on the coffee machine and serving ice cream. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe area, including dining spaces and kitchen equipment. Serve customers with a friendly and helpful attitude, taking orders and answering queries about menu items. Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours. Perform basic maths calculations for cash handling and order processing. Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive working environment and high-quality customer experiences.

Qualifications

Knowledge of food safety practices. Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately. Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively in a busy setting. Previous or a similar role is advantageous but not mandatory. A friendly disposition with excellent communication skills, capable of providing help and support to both customers and colleagues.

Pay: 12.00-13.00 per hour
