Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of food and beverages according to established recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe area, including dining spaces and kitchen equipment. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times. Provide friendly and efficient service to customers, taking orders and answering queries about menu items. Handle cash transactions accurately, utilising basic maths skills for processing payments. Support team members during busy periods, demonstrating effective time management skills to prioritise tasks. Assist with stock management, including receiving deliveries and restocking supplies as necessary.

Skills

Strong ability to help others with a positive attitude towards customer service. Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and order calculations. Excellent time management skills to ensure efficient workflow during peak hours. Experience or knowledge in food preparation techniques is advantageous. Understanding of food safety practices to maintain a safe working environment.
