Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cafe Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our cafe, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. This position requires a passion for food preparation and a commitment to creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers.

Duties

Food preparation, including the assembly of sandwiches and panini Help maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe, including dining areas and kitchen spaces. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times. Provide exceptional customer service by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and addressing customer inquiries. Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours. Collaborate with team members to create a positive working environment.

Experience

Previous experience in a cafe or food service environment is preferred Familiarity with food preparation techniques and safety practices is advantageous. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting. A friendly disposition with excellent communication skills to engage with customers effectively.

Job Details

Approximately

24 hours per week

, over 4 days (including one weekend shift) 3 kitchen shifts, 1 cashier/barista shift
