We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Cafe Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and beverages, along with excellent customer service skills. As a Cafe Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while ensuring that all food safety standards are met. Your responsibilities will include food preparation, serving customers, and maintaining a clean and organised workspace.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve food and beverages in accordance with food safety regulations Assist customers with their orders and provide exceptional service Operate coffee machines and other equipment, demonstrating barista skills Maintain cleanliness of the cafe area, including tables, counters, and equipment Handle cash transactions accurately using basic math skills Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during busy periods Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations

Qualifications

Previous experience in a cafe or similar environment is preferred, particularly barista or baking experience Knowledge of food safety practices is essential Strong serving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing cash Excellent time management abilities to prioritise tasks efficiently Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

Pay: From 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 35 per week
