We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cafe Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our cafe, providing excellent customer service while assisting with food preparation and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong time management skills and a keen understanding of food safety practices.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of food items according to established recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe area, including dining spaces and kitchen equipment. Serve customers with a friendly attitude, taking orders accurately and efficiently. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times. Help manage inventory by restocking supplies as needed and reporting any shortages. Perform basic maths to handle transactions and provide correct change to customers. Collaborate with team members to create a positive working environment and enhance customer satisfaction.

Experience

Previous experience in a cafe or food service environment is preferred but not essential. Familiarity with food preparation techniques and safety protocols is advantageous. Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks during busy periods. Basic mathematical skills for handling cash transactions accurately. A willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced setting while providing exceptional service to our customers.

Pay: 8.00-13.00 per hour
