Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cafe Assistant to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere within our cafe. This position involves assisting with food preparation, serving customers, and ensuring that all health and safety standards are met. A passion for hospitality and a desire to help others are essential for success in this role. Availability requirements for successful candidate will be from 5AM-4PM.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and take their orders efficiently. Assist in food preparation, ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Prepare beverages, including coffee and tea, while maintaining high quality. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe area and serving stations. Support catering events as required, contributing to the overall success of the service. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods. Handle customer inquiries and provide assistance as needed, fostering a positive dining experience. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a cafe, restaurant, or hospitality environment is preferred. Knowledge of food safety practices is essential. Strong communication skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks as required. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends if necessary.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week
